MARÍA VIRGINIA ROMERO
Co-Founder of EKHOS and member of the Partnerships Management Team at Red Impacto Latam, where she works to strengthen and grow the Social Enterprise ecosystem.
She holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina and has specialised in Sustainable Finance at the Institute for Social Banking in Switzerland. She trained in Social Enterprise business models at the Yunus Centre in Bangladesh and in Social Enterprise ecosystem development in India.
She has 15 years of experience as an SME consultant and currently advises projects focused on positive social and environmental impact. She also mentors social entrepreneurs and teaches Social Enterprise, Impact Ecosystems and Sustainable Finance through executive programmes and postgraduate courses at several institutions in Argentina.
MARÍA VIRGINIA ROMERO
Co Fundadora de EKHOS y Miembro del Equipo de Gestión de Alianzas de la Red de Impacto Latam desde donde impulsa el crecimiento del ecosistema de Empresas Sociales.
Estudió Master en Finanzas corporativas en la Universidad Di Tella de Argentina y Finanzas Sostenibles en el Institute for Social Banking en Suiza. Se entrenó sobre modelos de negocio de Empresas Sociales en el Yunus Centre de Bangladesh y sobre el Ecosistema de Empresas Sociales en India.
Ha trabajado por 15 años como consultora de PYMES. Realiza consultoría a proyectos de impacto social y ambiental positivo. Es mentora de emprendedores sociales y docente sobre Empresas Sociales, Ecosistema de Impacto y finanzas sostenibles en cursos ejecutivos y diplomaturas de varias instituciones de Argentina.
JESSICA OYARBIDE
Jessica is a specialist in Social Enterprises, purpose-driven brands and Impact Ecosystems. She is Co-Founder of EKHOS, where she connects India, Latin America and the UK to strengthen and scale Impact Ecosystems. She also leads the expansion of People and Planet First across Latin America, a global verification for organisations that put people and the planet first.
She is the founder of Marcas que Marcan, a conscious branding agency that has worked with international organisations. She serves on the boards of the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) and Pulse on Prosperity UK, and is a member of the Advisory Council of Red Impacto Latam. She is also part of the Social Enterprise Data Harmonisation Coalition, led by the Schwab Foundation and the World Economic Forum, among other organisations.
She lived in India while researching Fair Trade and Social Enterprise models. She is a lecturer at Universidad Austral, holds a degree in Advertising, and specialised in Social and Inclusive Business at HEC Paris.

Es Planner Publicitaria, especialista en Empresas Sociales. Estudió en la universidad HEC de París, realizó una pasantía en el Yunus Centre en Bangladesh y trabajó en India junto a Fair Trade India, en el desarrollo de estrategias de marcas certificadas en Comercio Justo.
También es fundadora de Marcas que Marcan, empresa social que acompaña a las personas y marcas a descubrir y poner en acción su Potencial Social, su capacidad de generar impacto positivo en uno mismo, en la sociedad y en el ambiente.
Es facilitadora, tallerista y mentora de emprendedores sociales.
